Auditing Curricula for Culturally Responsive Content
XanEdu's team of content and curricula experts work with districts to conduct an objective analysis of textbooks, tradebooks, and other instructional materials in their classrooms. the analysis features multiple sections including but not limited to:
portrayal of characters in text and multimedia
how characters are represented in storylines and,
demographics of authors
Districts receive a detailed report that serves as a resource for administrators and a roadmap for improvement. The report considers many aspects of diversity, including communication and language, ethnicity, religion, clothing and hairstyles, physical and cognitive abilities and culture.
